Leslie Odom Jr., famous for his Tony Award-winning portrayal of Aaron Burr in Hamilton , has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s upcoming limited series “Imperfect Women.”
The show, based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name and adapted by Physical creator Annie Weisman, stars Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men ) and Kerry Washington (Django Unchained ) as three lifelong friends whose relationship is tested after a shocking crime.
According to Deadline , Odom Jr. will play a recurring character named Donovan . He joins other high-profile cast members including Kate Mara (The Martian ), Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind ), and Corey Stoll (The Many Saints of Newark ).
This casting news comes at an exciting time for Odom Jr., who is set to reunite with the original Hamilton cast for a live performance at the Tony Awards this weekend. Later this year, he’ll reprise his role as Burr on Broadway for a limited run from September 9 to November 23.
The series is being written and executive produced by Annie Weisman, with input from原著 author Araminta Hall. The pilot episode is being directed by Lesli Linka Glatter (The West Wing ).
